![How to Crochet a Flat Circle in Double Crochet | EyeLoveKnots
If you want to work double crochet projects in the round, you may start from a flat circle to either create the project, such as a coaster or trivet, or as the base for a project, like a basket or beanie.
In this tutorial, I will show you how to start working in the round, how to increase in the round, how to measure the diameter of your crocheted circle and how to keep your seam straight while you do it all. Well touch on next steps at the end, but the sky is the limit so feel free to ask any questions you may have.
My straight seam technique works anytime working projects in the round in which you are joining at the end of your rounds and chaining to begin the next round, and its important to note that it will not eliminate your seam, but it will keep it straight, which definitely helps to hide it if you are able to keep it out of view on the side or back of a project.
