This is Round 7 of 7. Follow along each day for all of the parts or check out my Terran series, #elkccycc_terran
✨️ This 7th round is completely optional, but creates a nice, finished edging and also adds a little extra height and width, which may be desired on something like a coaster.
✨️ SC = US Single Crochet
✨️ In White (or whichever you want for your border color). You can continue in the same color you finished with from Round 6, but I'm switching to the White I've carried up on the back.
❤️ Turn to the right side, or front side.
✨️ To seamlessly change yarn colors following the same technique from before, drop the current yarn strand to the back. Grab the second colorway we'll be switching to, tighten the strand in case it's come loose and then yarn over the crochet hook with it and pull it through. Go back to the strand you dropped and give it a tug so the original loop disappears and you're ready to go with your new color. Chain 1.
❤️ SC into the next 8 SC, SC into the next chain space, chain 2, SC into the same chain space, (SC into each of the next 12 stitches, SC into the next chain space, chain 2, SC into the same chain space) 3x, SC into each of the last 4 SC.
❤️ Slip stitch join to the 1st SC of the round, making sure to bring the strand of the colorway you switched from to the wrong side before joining.
✨️ Finish with 56 SC and 4 chain 2 spaces.
✨️ One step left now, to weave in our ends!
🧶 For this square, I am using Lion Brand Pound of Love that we carry in our yarn shop, YarnCraftsandCoffee.com, and a H8/5mm crochet hook that I custom ordered from SiennasBowtique on Etsy, but you can use any yarn with the respective size crochet hook.
