A TV performance of "Hero", music and some lyrics by Jim Steinman. This was a Japanese edit/version of "Holding Out For A Hero", recorded the year prior, and released just months before on single, and then the soundtrack for Footloose. This is a great performance, and is the first of a few I'll be posting of both Miki Asakura and Megumi Shiina, performing Jim Steinman songs in a J-Pop style.

This is a very special video that I have wanting to make for many years. Steinmans vocal recordings are treasures, and here I have compiled together in the best manner I can, chronologically, the vocals of Jim Steinman in each year, from 1969 to 2003, this will be great for Steinmaniacs, as will the next few weeks and months on this channel! I have always thought Steinman to be an underrated vocalist, listen to Wonderful Toys if you are unconvinced. As always, enjoy - and never stop rockin!
