Bat Out Of Hell 2100 was a planned movie, with a screenplay, music and lyrics written by Jim Steinman. An unfinished screenplay can be found online, written around 1994, with this demo dating to June 1997. This project eventually sort of morphed into Bat Out Of Hell, a planned musical first mentioned around 2006. And as I'm sure you all know, this musical eventually did come out on Manchester in 2017, and is still playing, albeit with rescheduled dates and appearances due to Covid-19.

The original CD of this compilation dates from June 1997. Now, the characters listed next to the songs are what I feel the songs represent, they are the original planned characters for those songs, but excluding those who I don't feel appear in the song. Essentially in All Revved Up, Scarpia plays Peter and Meat Loaf plays the part of The Lost Boys. In Who'd Do The Dirty? Andre deShields plays the part of Captain Hook. In The Invocation, City Night and Midnight Serenade, Ellen Foley plays the part of Wendy. In Peter's Reviere, Steinman plays the part of Peter, and in Life Is A Lemon, Meat Loaf plays the part of Tink. So on, and so forth. The recordings date from 1973 to 1997.
