One glorious day on Yorkshire's most interesting gritstone. Mike's Problem was actually my second choice project for the day, after seeing that the starting holds on Pounce were a little wet from seeping rock above.
I found two crux moves in Mike's Problem, both moving off the right hand side crimpy wave. It was a struggle to commit to large roll-over move, given that you're left hanging from a heel-toe cam if you loose the tension on your right heel.
James and Archie were mega helpful, providing some confidence for the moves, and soon I'd ticked Mike's Problem - which, going by the guidebook would be my first 7c, but going by a realistic assessment of the problem was much closer to the 7b mark.
