Description: True Life Church in Slidell Louisiana Baptized a new Christian today. Micheal accepted Christ two months ago and today is the day he chose to get baptized and let everyone know he's going to follow Jesus and try to be the best Christian he can. This is one of the funniest Baptisms I've seen as Micheal didn't go all the way under so Pastor Mike had to "Dunk" him again. Christians aren't perfect, we're just forgiven because we've accepted Jesus's pardon from His judgement of sin. Jesus lived a sinless life so as sin came into the world through one man, Adam, so sin was abolished through one man who lived sinless, Jesus. His pardon keeps us from Hell, the place where souls go that choose to be separate from God. You have to accept a Pardon before it can be in effect, as Jesus will NOT force his pardon on those who refuse His pardon and him. In the Bible the verse explains this; Ephesians 1:13 "In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the Gospel of your Salvation - having also BELIEVED, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14. who is GIVEN as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God's own possession, the praise of His glory." Romans 10:10 for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. 11. for the Scripture says, "Whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed." 12.For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches fro all who call upon Him; 13. for Whoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved." Baptism doesn't save you from Hell, accepting Jesus and your Lord and God does. Baptism is an outward expression of that faith by the individual getting Baptized to those who witness it.
