Description. This tree took some serious damage as a lightening bolt hit some time on the 13th of August 2020 around 2:40. The heat from the bolt caused the tree to steam up inside and the pressure from that steam caused the tree to explode. The tree split into about three main pieces that went up about 30 feet from the base . The pressure and explosion was so great inside that in addition to it splitting the tree it blew a branch off and threw debris up to 50 feet away. Hope you enjoyed the video. Best Wishes & Blessings.
