Description: FIXED ! READ!!! I didn't show the fix in this video. It turned out to be an intermittent limit flow switch. I ended up temporarily jumper bypassing them with a piece of folded over aluminum foil, bottom left red wires on the white connector. It came on and stayed on. Later I pulled the jumper bypass off and it kept working.
* As of Dec 21 it's still working with NO issues.
I know it was one of two switches, but since it's still working 2.5 years later I can only speculate it probably just had a piece of corrosion on the contact and it came out when I tapped it. I suspect it was the back Squirrel Cage Fan Flame Detect Switch.
** Here's My previous problem for all modes; (Power to unit & Control Board, Status LED Solid. Never Blinks! When it shuts down the LED goes out, not blinking.)
Unit is a Goodman 1993 GMP075-4. 75,000 BTU/HR
- In AC mode: Outside unit Pump & Condenser fan come on. High Pressure line gets warm, but when the Blower comes on it kicks off in about 2-3 seconds.
- In Heat: Vent Blower comes on and just when you think the glow igniter should come on, the unit shuts down.
- In Blower only mode: Blower comes on for about 2-3 Seconds and then shuts down.
Here's what I've done so far:
1. Limit switches L220F-30 and fan cage limit switch are shorted as expected lines to board good.
2. Flame switches are shorted and not popped, lines to board good.
3. Heat Vent Motor on tube Runs.
4. Gas Solenoid has about 101 Ohms on the coil, good ground.
5. Grounds are good and Wire terminals are tight as well.
- In Fan Mode, can I temporarily jumper the Limit Switch terminals on the board to see if it is a limit switch?
The controller board LED comes on and stays on until the fan kicks off, then the LED goes out and stays out. Any Ideas?
