Merry Christmas! Every holiday season, Chicago's Metra decorates various locomotives and equipment in festive lights, to celebrate the spirit of the season. Running on various lines across the network, featured here are two different locomotives decorated in beautiful Christmas lights.

-Metra F40PH-3 104, painted in the City of Chicago paint scheme, leads a UP-W line train out of the Ogilvie Transportation Center, decked out in its festive lights.

-Metra SD70MACH 500, painted in the RTA retro paint scheme, is seen just outside of Chicago Union Station, leading various NCS and MD-W line trains.

Also featured are various other shots of the numerous EMD SD70MACH locomotives Metra is running on the Northern lines.
