California Attorney General Rob Bonta discusses Meta’s landmark $17 billion settlement with states over allegations that Facebook and Instagram harmed children’s mental health. Bonta explains the potential changes for young users, including daily time limits, nighttime restrictions and reduced notifications during school hours.
He also says California wants TikTok, YouTube and Snap to adopt similar safeguards for children and teens.
