Playthrough | Part 23: Take it to the Next Level
With everyone gathered, it's now time for Neptune and her crew to invade AffimaX base.
While this happens, Histoire meets with all the members of Gold Third, B-Sha, K-Sha, C-Sha and S-Sha. The four are here for the same reason. They are worried for the CPUs and the others. C-Sha states that the CPUs may lose against AffimaX. Turns out that in each of their encounters, they experienced something that was pure negative. Negative share energy. If they had more share energy, they would have a chance but as they are, their chances of slim. But S-Sha says that there's one way to give them a fighting chance.
So much of our time is devoted to going in, taking out monsters and hopefully reaching where Affimojas is. But they eventually find Steamax. Uni knows him as Jiro, but she finally knows the truth. Turns out they have no choice but to fight. We face off against him so my advice is to debuff him while buffing your party. Doing this is going to definitely help. If you have to go HDD, by all means. Use Formation and Coupling skills to bring the pain. After beating him, Uni knocks him out with a tranquilizer. She confronts Steamax due to his deceit. We also get our hands on the Jumping Star, we can jump higher within dungeons.
Eventually, we confront General Affimojas. Turns out he did everything for the sake of greed. Greed is a sin and we got to take him down. Thing is, Affimojas is a 2-phase fight. To even damage him, you need to do a whole lot of Part Breaking. Take advantage of using formation and coupling skills so you can be able to part break. Once you break his cape, then bring the pain to him. That's all there is. We beat him but he proves to be too strong, taking the CPUs down in one hit. So he offers an ultimatum: 1 gajillion credits and he'll release the CPUs. That's scummy. But then the Gold Third show up. They give something to the CPUs that will definitely help, a Hyper Share Crystal. This was created by combining a Share Crystal with shards from Gold Crystals. This contains the wishes of the CPUs and Gold Third. The wishes of everyone in the world. This allows the four CPUs to unlock their next level, their Next Form.
Next Form is essentially an upgraded HDD form for the four main CPUs. It boosts their stats and also gives them access to more powerful attacks. Now this leads to Phase 2. The same strategy applies so focus on using Formation or Coupling Skills to break his cap. Once his cape is broken then unleash your strongest skills. He'll go down with little effort.
Affimojas is defeated. But it's then they notice he is being engulfed in a dark aura. The same dark aura that they felt before. Steamax comes in hoping to join Affimojas. But Next Purple assures him that they'll save Affimojas. Using her newfound power, she creates a miracle by ridding the delusion from the general. The general is saved but Affimax is no more. They all return Planeptune to meet up with Histoire. But they soon learn that their actions undid all the damage that was done to Gamindustri. So yeah, it's a happy ending indeed.
But in a flashback, they learn how the Gold Third gave Histoire pieces of the Gold Crystal. It's also revealed that the Gold Thid can't absorb the power of faith. Instead, the Golden Summits absorbed the power of Faith and convert it into Gold Energy. Meanwhile, Affimojas wakes up at the Basilicom, now free of the negative influence. But things go from bad to worse. An alarm is raised and Histoire states that a giant hole has opened up in the sky above Gamindustri. Not good.
This completes the second arc. See you in Part 24 for we begin Heartdimension Neptunia H: Trilogy Finale ~ Into Legend...
