So, let's recap what happened. Ahzrak extracted the Ethereal form from Thira and places it into the Heart of the Argent. Now he has become all powerful while Slayer is in serious pain.
As this happens, Valen speaks with Bishop Kreed. Sadly the news he gets is anything but. Why? Because the demons are ready to strike once more, with Ahzrak throwing the Slayer's helmet telling them they have no chance for survival. Valen orders everyone out as things are about to get worse. As for the Slayer, he's imprisoned by three ancient gods until he decides to do something unthinkable. He activates the detonator on the armor's chest. Yes, this frees him but it costs him his life. In other words, he's dead.
But the Doom Slayer is too angry and too pissed off to die. So now he's in the Harbor of Souls. He now needs to find a way out and back into the living. It's also here that we get access to berserk. For a short time, you're invincible and you can bring the pain like never before. Seriously. So now we need to return to the mortal plane. And that means, according to King Novik, “They are rage. Brutal. Without mercy. But you... you will be worse. Rip and tear, until it is done.”
That's right. This means we fight... and fight... and fight... until we eventually reach a barge. We then steal it and after reaching the helm, using that, we can be able to find a way out. Yeah. We do.
We're too angry to die. See you in Part 20 for our Resurrection is near.
