Request Playthrough | Part 2: Exultia
We return to the Fortress of Doom but to find the second priest, we need to head somewhere else: to Exultia.
It's also here we get our hands on a new item: the Flame Belch. Basically you set monsters on fire and get armor shards. You need armor in order to last. We also get our hands on a Sentinel Crystal. We can be able to use them to raise your health, armor or ammo. Though if you obtain specific sets, you can unlock some neat bonuses. It's imperative that you get all of them in order to be at your strongest.
So now we head to Exultia in order to Rebuild the Celestial Locator. Essentially we need to locate King Novik's Chamber and retrieve the Celestial Casing. It won't be easy, I assure you. And being that this is my first time playing Doom Eternal, I learn the hard way that this game is one part shoot 'em up, one part platformer. We also have challenges and completing them will net us nifty rewards. It's also here we get access to the Blood Punch. The Blood Punch is going to help us deal with a lot of these demons. We also get access to Runes. They are helpful when it comes to your playstyle. Doom Eternal gives you the freedom to mix and match your style. Not to mention in addition to getting Weapon Mods, we can upgrade them. Upgrading the mods will unlock a mastery challenge. Complete that and you get the upgrade. We also get a dash and that's going to be useful for platforming. Dashing also helps cling to walls.
The spirit of King Novik says that we can't kill the priests. Because they are of Sentinel blood. If we do this, we anger the heavens. It don't matter to us. No way. I did mention that there's much to find and unlock and there is. Finding automap stations is going to be a benefit. Later on, we find someone known as the Betrayer. We give him what we took but he says that saving them won't bring peace but only make the burden we carry worse. He knows that we're going against the Khan Maykr. He then gives us something. We then take down more demons and we're done here.
