Hell Rising | Finale: Mountain Keep in the Storm's Eye
We're at the point of no return now. Time to tackle the final mission of the game, Mountain Keep in the Storm's Eye.
This one is a bit challenging as we head into the Crucible. As this happens, we face off against some strong foes. Lucky for us, we get help from three different individuals: Yagyu Jubei, Tokugawa Mitsukuni and of all people, Rodrigo. Yeah, him. Haven't seen him since the beginning but it seems that there's something a bit off. Do you remember Maria from Nioh 1 and 2? Yeah. She's in this and let's ask, what is she doing? Well hopefully after much trial and tribulation, we'll find out.
At the end, we throw hands with Yui Shosetsu, who at this point, has become a yo-kai. So bring the pain to him and eventually, he'll go down. If you're very high level, it's easy. But it's the ending that will surprise you. Basically, we beat Yui Shosetsu. But a beast, Shirogarasu emerges and flies off. We dispel the Crucible but it's then Rodrigo reveals his true colors. He summons Ceberus and then absorbs the energy into itself. We try to stop it but Maria blocks our way. In a shocking twist, Rodrigo stabs Maria. Backstabbing jerk. Rodrigo states that he got what he needed in the era as he departs, vowing that his plans extend beyond time itself. Demons emerge out of nowhere. We work with Maria to repel them but she tells us to go on ahead and stop Don Rodrigo. The last thing that we see is Maria struggle against the demons as she is overwhelmed by them.
We return to meet with Jubei and deliver the news. We then see a vision of something else going on in another era, along with Rodrgio. Yep, the story is not over yet. We got to unravel the link between Shirogarasu and Shosetsu's regret. We ask Jubei for help, talking with our allies. Preparations are needed to be made.
This completes Nioh 3: Hell Rising. See you in 2027 for we return back for Bloody Insurrection. Thanks for watching.
