Request Playthrough | Part 9: Ancestral Forge
We have arrived at the Ancestral Forge but we have a goal here: to charge the Ancestral Heart. This means that we'll be in yet another open area.
At least this time, there's a clear objective here and it's to essentially reactivate the heart and we got to head to three different areas to do it. No biggie because at least we can take the opportunity to find secrets and there are a lot. Plus it's a good opportunity to put our skills to the test with what we've gotten. After we head to three specific spots and power the ancestral heart, we can keep on going.
We enter the Ancestrail Forge and do even more platforming and more demon destroying. Yeah, it's a grind of sorts. Eventually, we meet with Thira. She then uses some magic to awaken the power of our shield. She does a chant and enhances our shield. What he doesn't know is that they're watching. The Maykrs are watching. The Ancestral Heart is now pumping and it's scary. It's here our Shield gets access to Runes. There are four in all and each of them provide unique advantages. We get the first Rune for our shield, Ground Fissure. Anytime we parry Hell Surge projectiles, we can activate a Shield Rune. Not only that but we can also upgrade our Runes to make them stronger. It's nuts but it's going to add a lot more to our arsenal.
The Forsaken Plains await in Part 10.
