Boss Rush stage. Item Pickups are in the object in the center, and are unfortunately random. With one exception, if you attack it with the Z-Saber, you are guaranteed a 1up. Anyway, we confront Doppler at the end of the stage, who is then freed from Sigma's control. Now all that's left is ol' Baldy himself.

So heres another addition. Normally, Geos friends dont have sidequests for them in this game, with the exception of Zack, but his is normally not triggered by entering his Transer. But now it is. Its still the same quest, though; fight a gauntlet of battles and then you get to be Brothers with him.

So this game mixes up the Stage Select by only having 3 stages available at first, and clearing them will unlock paths to the other ones. So while you still get to pick your own order if you want, its not as free-flowing as a typical Mega Man game. Anyway, Cold Man is an ice level, obviously. But theres not much in terms of actual ice gimmicks, just some crumbling panels if you step on them. No slippery floors or jetboards to be seen here.
