Now this appearance was a surprising one. One that Capcom hid in the game itself. Cannon Spike, also known as Gun Spike in Japan, is an arcade shoot-em-up released in 2000, making it's way to the Dreamcast a year later. This game features characters such as Cammy and Charlie from Street Fighter, Arthur from Ghosts n' Goblins who is sporting a new look, and two original characters as playable. But wait, hidden off to the side of the character select screen are B.B. Hood from Darkstalkers as well as Mega Man. No unlock conditions required for them. Just scroll over to them. Mega Man happens to be one of the better characters in the game, as one of his special moves, Tornado Hold, shreds enemy health.

So this game mixes up the Stage Select by only having 3 stages available at first, and clearing them will unlock paths to the other ones. So while you still get to pick your own order if you want, its not as free-flowing as a typical Mega Man game. Anyway, Cold Man is an ice level, obviously. But theres not much in terms of actual ice gimmicks, just some crumbling panels if you step on them. No slippery floors or jetboards to be seen here.
