Most people don’t experience a lightning-fast conversion like St. Paul. Even with relatively small decisions—such as choosing a church, enrolling their children in your Catholic school, or donating to a food drive—most individuals go through three stages before committing. These stages, known as the buyer’s journey, apply even when there isn’t a physical purchase involved.
The three stages are: Awareness, Consideration, and Decision.
In the Awareness stage, your audience recognizes a problem or need and starts seeking information about possible solutions. Content like blogs and intro videos can effectively engage them at this point.
In the Consideration stage, they evaluate their options. They research ways to meet their needs and compare alternatives. Here, in-depth content like webinars can nurture their interest.
Finally, in the Decision stage, they are ready to commit. They may look for testimonials or special events to validate their choice. Providing clear calls-to-action and easy ways to get involved can facilitate this final step.
Understanding the Buyer’s Journey allows you to streamline your outreach, ultimately increasing your impact.
