Bursa Malaysia opened slightly higher on Wednesday but later trimmed its gains, tracking Wall Street’s decline as crude oil prices and bond yields surged amid fresh US attacks on Iran.

The benchmark index opened 0.42 points higher at 1,700.96.

It is expected to hover within the 1,695 to 1,710 range today.

In the cryptocurrency market, Bitcoin is on a downward trend, falling to RM312,089, while Ethereum also declined to RM9,742.

That’s it for Market Pulse.
