A special dance showcase featuring two of Malaysia’s leading dance companies will take centre stage at Dewan Filharmonik Petronas on Sept 5.

Titled A Dance Spectacular, the Merdeka Month showcase will feature ASK Dance Company and Dua Space Dance Theatre, with performances beginning at 8pm.

ASK Dance Company founder Dr Joseph Gonzales said the company will present its original production, Pearl of the Orient.

Meanwhile, Dua Space founder Anthony Meh said 10 dancers will blend traditional Chinese dance with contemporary movements, offering fresh interpretations of ancient Chinese wisdom.
