This level was a pain to compare due to coin spawn RNG and the thin planet's terrible camera. This made the comparisons not as good as they could have been, so this is the best approximation I could make without spending my whole life on this level.
(0:00 - 0:16) Opener:
I found backflip to be faster than walking for mario definitely. For luigi, walking and backflip are about the same amount of time.
(0:16 - 0:32) Thin planet to pipe:
Mario manages to keep up with luigi here a bit only because he can long jump to the stump due to his shorter long jump. After falling behind mario somehow caught up on the bush section (shorter jump? better angle?). Mario gets better RNG than luigi.
(0:32 - 0:55) In pipe room:
Luigi is definitely faster here. Mario had 2 strats that were only 1 frame of
difference from each other.
(0:55 - 1:01) Pipe to luma:
It's probably more even than here, mario's long jump goes a little wide.
(1:01 - 1:53) Boss:
I found claire's ez strat nearly impossible with mario and hard with luigi. I made a different that worked a bit better and may also be faster? I didn't do it with luigi however.
