Managed to make it through in one piece. Not bad for my first finished run. I learned a lot about the particulars of Monty's goals in the progress, too.
This run makes use of "Laser Tag" strats to secure Tag-Out. You need the help of a Laser Beam character to make it work- I choose Red Pianta because if he is right handed and you make contact with his star swing very deep inside (like, with the bat's handle) it's essentially a free single, which allows him (but not Blue or Yellow) to overcome his obvious downside of having one of the worst bats in the game. The idea for Laser Tag is that if you throw a Laser to Catcher Monty and he has enough time to begin moving before the runner reaches home, the out will be a tag out rather than a "force" out. Just hold the control stick up-left to move as soon as possible. It's not an extremely consistent strategy and you run the risk of throwing the laser too early and spooking the runner, but it's a much more viable way to farm Tag-Out than using 2B like we've been doing in the past, even the strat is slower than getting lucky with a dribbler.
Obviously I don't want the AI hitting home runs off of me, and this category is fastest as a first-inning mercy (which is wild, but that can and has been done), so those are two obvious areas of improvement right there. I do think the baseball that I played was fairly fast, though. I'm satisfied for now.

![Paragoombas Crack a long hit! Mystery Solved
We knew that Paragoombas Star Mission Crack a long hit! wasnt what it appeared to be. By examining the Japanese version of the game, I discovered what it ACTUALLY was... and even what went wrong.
[Spoilers: its Cross home plate! and it was mislabeled during the localization of the game.]
This makes making Paragoomba a Superstar both easier and less frustrating! Hooray!
PS: THE JAPANESE IS RONGU HITTO, NOT LONGU HITTO, I AM AWARE THAT JAPANESE DOES NOT HAVE A NATIVE VOICED ALVEOLAR LATERAL APPROXIMANT CONSONANT :) :) :) :) Paragoombas Crack a long hit! Mystery Solved](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/ciCn8WF1xA4/mqdefault.jpg)
