@jenni_papercraft used the Chic Birthday stamp set putting Archival Ink to work in a few different creative ways. If you’ve only been using Archival Ink for stamping, you might be surprised how versatile it really is!
This ink can do so much more than people realize. From adding color and texture to creating unique backgrounds and crisp stamped details.
Supplies:
Ranger:
-Make-It Stamp Set: Chic Birthday
-Make-It Stencil: Pegboard
-Archival Ink Pad: Best Dressed, Avocado Toast
-Archival Ink Re-Inker: Best Dressed
-Texture Paste Transparent Gloss
-Embossing Powder: Clear
Tim Holtz Distress:
-White Heavy Stock: Cut to 4-1/4” x 5-1/2” + 3-1/2” x 4-3/4”
-Watercolor Cardstock
-Watercolor Pencils: Crushed Olive, Unchartered Mariner
Tim Holtz Alcohol Ink Yupo: Cut to 3-1/8” x 4-3/8”
Wendy Vecchi MAKE ART:
-Stay-tion Craft Sheet 9x9
-Stay-tion
Instructions:
-Scoop out a small amount of Transparent Gloss Texture Paste + mix with a few drops of Best Dressed Re-inker.
-Place Pegboard stencil over the 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" White Heavy Stock. Secure the stencil with the magnets of the Stay-tion.
-Using a palette knife, spread the texture paste across the openings of the stencil. Remove the stencil. Let dry.
-Press the Avocado Toast Ink pad onto the Craft Sheet. Spray 91% rubbing alcohol over the ink + across the surface of the Yupo paper.
-Press + lift the Yupo paper into the ink until it is completely covered. Allow ink to air dry completely.
-Drag Best Dressed ink along the edges of the 3-1/2” x 4-3/4” sheet of White Heavy Stock.
-Use Best Dressed to stamp the three-candle cluster from Chic Birthday set multiple times across the inked Yupo.
-Use Best Dressed Ink to stamp the cake onto Watercolor paper + the words "Happy Birthday" onto vellum. Heat emboss the stamped images with clear embossing powder.
-Paint the features on the birthday cake stamp with Watercolor Pencils in Crushed Olive + Unchartered Mariner.
-Use scissors to cut the stamps along their outline. Glue the words Happy Birthday over the cake.
-Attach the layers using glue + thin foam tape.
