Customising a Majorette No. 275, in the Serie 200 from 1992 until 2003.

For this build, I took inspiration from the Max Power demo car known as Project 2000. I pay tribute to the car currently owned by Jamie Brothwell by stripping the Majorette model of its pale blue paint and turning it luminous pink for the Diecast Heroes' Volume 15 'Back to 80s & 90s' diecast challenge. In the spirit of Max Power, I modify the body to give it an oversized rear wing, twin headlamps, and Momo Arrow alloy wheels.
Max Power was more a lifestyle than a simple automotive magazine. At times, it was the best selling magazine in Europe. It featured mad modifications, bonkers body kits and performance upgrades that were not simply limited to the mechanicals. Usually it extended to the sound system too! It was associated with laddish behaviour and the cruise events it promoted often saw police presence and negative media coverage. However, for a young generation of enthusiasts it proved to be something of a bible.
The casting is based on a Mark V Ford Escort. While Project 2000 was based on a sixth generation RS2000, this provides an older, more sedate foundation. It was produced by Majorette between 1992 and 2003 while the real thing was built from 1990 to 1995.
