Edit 24th Feb: Updated for Harrowstorm. Not much has changed, but expect better sustain so better DPS!
This is a Magicka Sorcerer No-Pet PVE build and Iron Atronach Parse for the Harrowstorm/Dragonhold patch.
It looks like the difference between having pets and no pets is smaller than it has been in some time. Generally, Magicka Sorcerer has received a set of changes which brings it away from the style of rotation from Scalebreaker, and a little bit closer to that from Elsweyr and the few patches previously.
Thanks to @Aerenel, who raids with Wipes on Trash (WoT) PC/NA, for providing these parses. His Discord ID is @Aerenel#8604 should you want to ask him about Magicka Sorcerer.
Here are the other MagSorc parses from Dragonhold, again kindly provided by @Aerenel.

I am using the Max Magicka/Magicka Regen food, with 64 points into Magicka for all Magicka Setups in these rotations.
Gear used here:
5x Mother's Sorrow Body, 5x Siroria front-barred, 2x Zaan. (See build screenshot for full details).
The above is used simply for purposes of comparison against other classes, in this test environment.
Race used: Altmer
Good alternatives: Breton, Dunmer, Khajiit
In real raid situations, consider Clockwork Citrus Fillet or Artaeum Pickled Fish Bowl as food alternatives.
Other gear that is perfectly suitable for different situations include:
False God, Spell Strategist, New Moon Acolyte, Burning Spellweave
CMX Parse, Build (Gear, Skills, CPs), Superstar from Video -- imgur.com/a/buK8V7q
-- Rotation
This No-Pet Magicka Sorcerer rotation can be pretty effective when played well.
Focus on keeping a great up-time with Unstable Wall. Cast Haunting Curse on cooldown, so every 12 seconds, but never before. Allow both explosions to hit. If you want, you can also use the other morph, which is important if you want to switch between Pet and Non-Pet setups. Beyond that, Keep up Barbed Trap and Boundless Storm, which is also great for its utility. This means you'll be more optimal when playing as close to melee whenever possible. You can try some of the alternative skills below if you are more comfortable at range. Use Elemental Weapon as your spammable and Crystal Fragments as frequently as possible. At 20% and below, cast Endless Fury (execute) instead of Elemental Weapon. Feel free to continue using Crystal Fragments at this point too.
Proposed Static Rotation:
12-second Rotation as the base structure.
Start:
Boundless - Barbed Trap
Wall - Curse - Boundless/Spam - Spam - Spam - Spam/Barbed Trap
Spam - Spam - Spam - Spam - Spam - Spam/Barbed Trap
Spam = Elemental Weapon / Crystal Frags / Ultimate / Spell Symmetry or Endless Fury at 20% - use whichever is most suitable at any given moment
Every other rotation, alternate Boundless Storm with Spam.
Cast Barbed Trap every 1.5 rotations, at spots where Spam/Barbed Trap is written.
If you prefer Haunting Prey over Curse, then you can cast it every 6 seconds instead of every 12.
--
About alternative skills. This is for Magicka Sorcerer in general:
Mystic Orb - a must-have skill if you want to include more AOE damage into your setup. Upsides also include a nice group synergy, but the downside is the high resource cost.
Flame Reach - if you wanted to add another single-target DOT. Provides some extra sources of Burning damage and cost is relatively cheap, but damage isn't as good as some other options.
Scalding Rune - another option for an alternative DOT. More damage per cast than Flame Reach but also costlier.
Liquid Lightning / Lightning Flood - an AOE ability which provides a unique synergy for the group. Costs more than it did in the previous patch.
Bound Aegis - if you want a simpler rotation, you could drop a DOT.
Inner Light - same as above, but Bound Aegis is better.
Shield (e.g Empowered Ward) - you could replace a DOT or Spell Symmetry if you can make a setup to sustain without if you wanted to include a shield.
Elemental Blockade - using this morph instead of Unstable Wall can also be a decent option. This option offers more cleave, and a longer duration, therefore better sustain, since this skill is costly.
Consuming Trap - a DOT that can help sustain if used in trash fights or on smaller mobs in Boss Fights, due to the resource return.
Channelled Acceleration - if you prefer this over Barbed Trap, this is fine. Magicka sustain will suffer a little but might be easier to use in some cases.
Power/Critical Surge - an ability which is primarily used for the healing. Power Surge also provides Major Sorcery for yourself.
Scamp or Bird - check out the other Pet Sorc videos, linked above.

![ESO - Stamina Necromancer DW/Bow PVE Build (102k+) - Scalebreaker
Here we have a Stamina Necromancer Dual Wield/Bow PVE build and Iron Atronach Parse for Scalebreaker. I will show one rotation but describe several others in the description below.
Here I will not describe any rotation which relies on Detonating Siphon. Bitterly disappointing that it still doesnt work, since it is amazing for sustain (costs no resources) and does decent AOE and Single Target damage too. With Siphon, 106k+ is possible.
If youre looking for:
vMA Dagger Rotation: https://youtu.be/JXrSpAHqLHU
2H/Bow: https://youtu.be/TYF_AVj3iIw
There have been loads of changes across the board for combat in ESO. I would recommend you to read the relevant patch notes.
I am using the Max Stam/Stam Regen food, with 64 points into Stamina for all Stamina Setups in these rotations. This is simply for comparison purposes in this test environment.
So, the Stamina Necromancer is the go-to class as a DD in Trials in ESO, mainly because of their Ultimate, the Pestilent Colossus, which gives an AOE Major Vulnerability debuff for 5 seconds.
I tried a few parses with different setups with high Stamina Regen so I could try setups which are impossible to solo sustain on the dummy, but perfectly normal in a raid (e.g using a lot of Whirling Blades). I had a Healer with a Master Resto spam Healing Springs on me to allow me to properly test the strength of all these rotations (Thanks @stileanima even though you were tabbed out half the time). Here in this video, I am showing a solo parse for demo purposes.
Setups Tried:
1. As shown in the video (Rapid Strikes + Blastbones)
2. Pure Rapid Strikes (See AOEGUs video for a great example: https://youtu.be/kPYDtEyPlEU)
3. Venom Skull + Blastbones
4. Rapid Strikes + Whirling Blades + Blastbones
5. Venom Skull + Whirling Blades + Blastbones
6. Whirling Blades + Blastbones
To summarize, sorry to be predictable but they were all within 1-2k of each other, so I dont think you can go wrong with any of them. I have, however, listed them roughly in order of Stamina Drain (#1 is more or less the most Stamina efficient, though I still had to heavy attack 3 times in this parse, whereas #7 is least so). As always, bashing will add some nice free DPS if you have extra sustain, and you can do just as many bashes with any setup in most scenarios, though I guess using Rapid Strikes does not allow you to be as opportunistic with bashing. So in scenarios where sustain may be an issue, you may want to chose a rotation which is higher up the list. The combinations lower down the list generally have worse sustain, but also offer better cleave damage, so I guess its fair. In Elsweyr, I tested several setups in Sunspires Fire Dragon Boss in the earlier weeks, and they all felt kinda the same to me, just like here.

Rotation
You want a 10-seconds long because Arrow Barrage, Poison Injection, Rending Slashes and Consuming Trap are each 10 seconds long.
The minimum backbar rotation is simply: Arrow Barrage - Poison Injection. You can choose to have Barbed Trap or Skeletal Archer on your backbar as the 3rd skill you occasionally cast after the above two skills, if needed.
On your front bar, make sure to cast Rending and Consuming Trap once. Cast your Barbed Trap or Archer (whichever is not being cast on your backbar). Otherwise generally you want to fill up your time with Blastbones and your spammable of choice (Whirling, Venom Skull, Rapid Strikes) in the rest of the time.
In execute, if you are using 3 Bloodthirsty, Whirling Blades is better than Blastbones below 25%. So if you have Whirling Blades slotted, given your sustain, drop Blastbones completely. In a Rapid Strikes rotation, it is pretty borderline so you can go either way since Rapid Strikes is also technically an execute.
For Maarselok, you will need to Bash once every 7 or more seconds to proc its effect.
Proposed Static Rotation:
Start: Archer - Trap - Blastbones
Pattern 1 (Burstier)
Barrage - Injection
Blastbones - Rending - Consuming Trap - Blastbones - Spam - Spam - Spam - Blastbones
Pattern 2 (With Archer and Trap refreshed. You can swap these 2 skills around if you prefer, based on passives)
Barrage - Injection - Archer
Blastbones - Rending - Consuming Trap - Blastbones - Barbed Trap - Spam - Blastbones
Spam = Venom Skull or Rapid Strikes or Whirling Blades starting from 35-30% and below.
In execute, you can continue the same patterns but use Whirling Blades (if slotted) in place of Spam and Blastbones.
Use your Ultimate whenever required.
Thanks for taking the time to read this. I hope it helps. Happy to reply to comments below!

![ESO - [Hodor] - vSO Full Run - 177,392 Score - 14:19 Time - Likomi - Stamina Sorcerer - Wrathstone
Here is a full run of Hodors vSO score run from the Wrathstone patch.
I wanted to try out the Stamina Sorcerer class here. This is really the first time I have played as a Stamina Sorcerer in optimal trial conditions so it was interesting to see how it did.
It does a very competitive job against Stamblades when a Bow-Bow Build is possible to play well, on Bosses 1 and 4. RIP my 100k Mantikora parse on this score run though, damn black holes. It does really well in the trash pulls, which make up the majority of the vSO content. However, it can get quite easily outclassed by Stamblades when using a Dual Wield build with little to no Shadow Silk synergy availability, such as on Bosses 2 and 3. Overall its a fun and relatively simple class to play. There is no real reason why you shouldnt bring one to such a trial.
WHATS NEXT?
There will be a quick break for the team, then preparation for the PTS. Here Hodor will help test out the new Sunspire Trial. I also intend to look at both Stamina and Magicka Necromancer DD specs in detail, and I will be documenting it on this channel in the coming weeks.

![ESO - Stamina Dragonknight vMA Dagger PVE Build (103k+) - Scalebreaker
Here we have a Stamina Dragonknight vMA Dual Wield PVE build and Iron Atronach Parse for the Scalebreaker patch.
There have been loads of changes across the board for combat in ESO. I would recommend you to read the relevant patch notes.
This is the main important one; very relevant to this video and rotation:
The bonus spell/weapon damage from the Maelstrom Dual Wield is now set at 1000 (previously 2003). However, this bonus will apply to qualifying DOTs cast within 4 seconds of the bonus being applied, rather than being consumed by only the next DOT. This means we can use Rapid Strikes, then apply up to 3 DOTs in succession (for example Rending then Consuming Trap then Barbed Trap).
I am using the Max Stam/Stam Regen food, with 64 points into Stamina for all Stamina Setups in these rotations. This is simply for comparison purposes in this test environment.
Stamina Dragonknight has certainly benefitted from the changes in Scalebreaker. A few class buffs and the direction towards stronger single target DOTs have made, in my opinion, the Stamina Dragonknight a really fun class to play again, if you didnt already enjoy it. The Stam DK has two class abilities which are able to be empowered by the vMA daggers. No other Stamina class can claim to have even one extra.
Gear:
5x Lokkestiiz Body, 5x Relequen Body, 1x vMA Axe, 1x vMA Dagger, 1x Masters Bow. (See build screenshot for full details).
CMX Parse - https://i.imgur.com/ZQR3muA.png
CMX Build Screenshot (Skillbars, Gear, CPs) - https://i.imgur.com/NoxGO0U.png
Rotation
This is probably my favourite rotation out of all classes when it comes to using the vMA daggers.
This rotation is a fairly simple one. It is a 10-second rotation because Arrow Barrage, Poison Injection, Rending Slashes and Consuming Trap are each 10 seconds long. Noxious Breath and Venomous Claw are 12-seconds long, so you could probably also make a case to do a 12-second rotation with Endless Hail instead.
Cruel Flurry actively affects Rending Slashes, Consuming/Soul Splitting Trap, Barbed Trap, Poison Injection, Venomous Claw and Noxious Breath.
The minimum backbar rotation is: Arrow Barrage - Poison Injection. Roughly every other rotation, you would also cast Barbed Trap. Flames of Oblivion can also be recast every other rotation, or, as I prefer, just whenever is convenient, even if I am halfway through my frontbar rotation.
On the front bar, I have a few variations that I like to use. If, for example, I cast Flames of Oblivion or my Ultimate in the previous rotation, I would most likely do Rapid Strikes - Rending - Consuming Trap - Venomous Claw - Noxious Breath - Rapid Strikes. This means I will not empower Noxious Breath, which is ok, because its the weakest DOT, yet allow me to empower Poison Injection (and Trap) on the following backbar rotation. If I have more time, then I might either do Rapids - Rending - Consuming - Venomous - Rapids - Noxious - Rapids, Or Rapids - Rending - Consuming - Rapids - Venomous - Noxious - Rapids. Both have a similar outcome, though the second one may allow you to gain an extra tick of Venomous.
Nothing much changes in execute, just keep going. On your last rotation, if you know you wont get great value out of recasting DOTs, then keep spamming Rapid Strikes until the end!
On the backbar, you have a flex spot where I put Ring of Preservation in the video.
Proposed Static Rotation:
Start
Flames of Oblivion (FOO) - Barbed Trap
Arrow Barrage - Poison Injection - Barbed Trap/FOO (alternate it each time, skip it the first time)
Rapids - Rending - Soul Trap - Rapids - Venomous Claw - Noxious Breath - Rapids
Skip the middle rapids if you use your ultimate.
Thats StamDK with vMA daggers. Any questions? Let me know in the comments!

![ESO - Stam Warden vs Stamblade; a Direct Comparison - See Description - Murkmire PTS 4.2.0
Note: This is testing done on the PTS server so there might be changes every week, up until the official release, which is probably in 4-5 weeks or so. Ill try to update this if there is a large change.
Recently I uploaded a video in which I suggested that Stamina Warden could directly match the Stamina Nightblade in Single Target DPS (seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKsfSM1H4x0). But for many, I guess it is also hard to believe since Stamblade has been the meta for so long. We thought it would be informative to directly compare the two classes. The AOE potential of a Stamina Warden is quite likely to be higher than of the Stamina Nightblade, which is more reasonable to accept.
For each test, we had the Stamblade on 3 Bloodthirsty Jewelry Traits as a control variable - under the assumption that this combination is really good and makes the most of the Stamblades execute phase. The Stamina Warden had varying traits for each test. The goal was to see the interaction between trait and DPS, and possibly find the best combination for both for the fastest fight. The gear worn by both players were identical, including traits and enchants of weapons, and we also ensured to expend roughly same amount of Stamina for each fight - ending the fight with around 40-60% sustain since we are in Lava Food (sustain is pretty even for both classes in this PTS version compared to live).

I am playing as the Stamina Warden, and fellow Hodor/former Xbox EU scrub, Seb (@Web_Silliams), is playing as the Stamina Nightblade (he is definitely one of the best). His channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCURCVgzTNBdYATKza8KOvnQ

As you can see, the two classes are pretty even
The less Bloodthirsty used by the Stamina Warden, the longer the execute phase. This could play a role in the reason behind the Stamblades higher DPS with less Bloodthirsty used by the Stamina Warden. Its probably hard to make definitive conclusions based on these tests since we only did one of each, but it seems to confirm that youll get more group DPS with a Stamina Warden using 1 Bloodthirsty (We didnt test 2 Bloodthirsty, but this would also be pretty good). Of course there is a small degree of human error involved since we both have a pretty bad connection to the PTS, and in the end, the difference in traits is so small, that it wouldnt be fair to make definitive conclusions from this.
As a side note, we also did one test where I used Ballista on the Stamina Warden - it was around 1-2k DPS less than the Bear, so thankfully the Warden is pretty viable even without the bear.
Stamina Warden and Stamina Nightblade are both in a really good spot now. The Stamina Nightblade is not miles better than other classes anymore, both in terms of sustain and damage, which is really nice. Hopefully, other Stamina classes will prove to be just as viable as these two, by the time Murkmire is officially released.
