Wanted to post something small to remain semi-active i suppose.
this is something i slapped together as a form of procrastinating doing my hw.
it started as a spontaneous idea that excited me, both bc it would be smth i'd make without much thought, and plus i'd use a song by Stray Kids, and i haven't used any of their songs before in my edits i think. I think this song is cool ^^
This isn't my first MDZS edit, i have a couple more that i started before this, but this one is the first that i finished.
Making this was a bit interesting i guess. i set the clips in vegas, but i ended up basically hating twixtor in vegas due to it not cooperating with me much, so i exported this project, opened it in adobe premiere, then saved and opened That project in ae, and i continued it a bit there- XD i not only added twixtor, but also some of the effects from 0:04 - 0:07. then i started to feel like editing in ae is tedious, so i rendered what i had and plopped it back into vegas, and finished it there ^^''
I didn't intend for this video to be super creative or original either. i even reused my coloring from my jjk ''pumpkins scream'' edit from last year. i simply wanted to make something. and in general, every now and then editing has been starting to feel like a chore, or i start a project and can't finish it, so every now and then i adapt the mindset of ''it doesn't have to be good, i just want to make something''.
i feel like the visibility of this video might be questionable, but i'm not gonna worry myself about that. i originally intended to only upload this on my insta account bc my idea for this video could be fitting for that, but ultimately i decided to upload it here too.
I simply wish this video wasn't automatically converted to a short.
I started watching MDZS earlier this month and i love it so far! i continued watching and watched 15 episodes, including all of season 2 yesterday and the amount of feels surprised me. I've only seen 1 episode of season 3 so far but i'm really enjoying that season so far too.
I really like some of the characters in this donghua ^^ and i love the animation!!! it's consistently so good ^^ My fave character here is Wei Wuxian, and i mostly used him in this edit too, along with one clip of Lan Wangji ^^
I'm very sorry about my inactivity and i'm very sorry to those who i haven't been replying to as of recent weeks. i have been completely out of it for multiple reasons, and sadly it's been hard for me to jump back into a convo. i really hope to return to things soon.

So this is... a plot twist edit XD
So Ill start off by saying that my girlfriend recently introduced me to Bleach and Ive started watching it as well, and Im really liking the anime!! x3 Im on episode 34 now :3
And thiiis here was the result of me realizing that this song could fit both Byakuya from Danganronpa _and_ Uryuu from Bleach, in a way, so then I figured, why not try to remake my Sweatpants edit of Byakuya? ^^
These two are both some of our faves in their respective series, as well x3
Originally I wanted to edit the audio myself, but after failing to get it the way I wanted it to, I just decided to push this project aside and forget about it ^^ That is, until I found this here edit of it on Soundcloud the other day, and even if this audio isnt like what I had in mind, it still seemed like it could be the next best thing ^^
From there, I opened up Vegas and started setting the Danganronpa clips while I waited for the new Bleach clips I was downloading, to finish downloading, and then eventually for the episode screenshots to finish being taken, so I can remember what happened in the episodes better. First I wanted to remake everything about the original for the start, such as the coloring and the effects I did. But after trying to do the vertical shake again, I realized that it doesnt look the way I want it to, nor the way it did originally. Fortunately, I still have this edits project file saved for reference purposes, and when I opened it again I was able to see that?? I did the shake completely differently back then XD Upon seeing it I was like oh thats an oldie bc it looked the way I used to my spins, back when I still frequently used those lol
Then I literally took and copied and pasted the effects from the project into the Byakuya part here, and tweaked it a bit XD But what I did end up remaking there was the coloring, bc I wanted something a tinge different now ^^ However! For Uryuus part I remade and changed the effects, and at certain parts, simply fixed what I would now like to change in my original video, such as making some pieces of text more dynamic, or extending them ^^ I did want to keep it similar, but still add differences here and there. This time I added in horizontal shakes alongside the vertical ones, sooome more glitchy effects. I also added AE into the mix for the watch a hater text ^^ Aaand I also made some text pieces in the opposite style of how they were in the original ^^
This isnt reeeeally a remake, bc a remake would be if I wouldve used the same material but simply approved upon its usage, thats why I was contemplating adding a ? in the title after remake, but, well, I do suppose I have improved upon certain effects from the original? ^^
To be honest, some text pieces were improved upon like this: I just copied and pasted what was in the original, bc I didnt wanna remake it all over again, and then I fixed what I wanted there. A very apparent example of that is the text for the (know) Japanese part ^^
Welp, in any case, it was fun to look back at this video and try to do some effects like this again, namely the spins ^^
Personally, hmm... I think that this edit is quite good ^^ Not my best work, but its alright ^^
Oh and if anything, I added a liiittle shadow of Uryuu on the right side of this videos thumbnail :3
I would also like to dedicate this video to my girlfriend!! x33

ITS FINALLY FINISHED. GLORY DAY!
Lemme set the scene for yall: its late July, my girlfriend had mentioned at some point earlier in the year that we could make this Doctor Online GMV of hers a collab, and then the day came. The project was intimidating, but i was willing to do it justice and do my best. She gave me the clips that she had set in 2022 for this (in an hour or a couple, nonetheless holy crap thats amazing owo) and id do the rest (and add some of my own clips along the way!)
Early on, i decided that i want to Physically Study older editing styles - I was particularly inspired by SonicStorm12 while editing, but also mixed in some inspiration from other editors and just my own ideas too, as i wanted to do my own take on dark style while also paying tribute to the style of the olden days, as this video was supposed to be one that is purely 2013 vibes, right down to the fact that only older Sonic cutscenes and clips are used. (if any of you would like, feel free to comment on this video as if its still 2013 - that was one of Enchis ideas ^^)
Next picture this: Im working with two computers at the same time - my main pc for the project, and a separate vegas project file with references and the preview screen made Huge on my laptop next to me - going frame by frame, writing notes in markers about what effects i notice and so on. Sometimes a coffee or tea mug beside me, to drink from ^^
I worked on this rather tirelessly for multiple hours for multiple days, editing it more than i wasnt. A whole bunch of August was spent editing this, and even then, i only finished up until the start of the 2nd verse.
Next up was september, with a new uni year and some unexpected health issues along the way, some which left me decommissioned for a day or two from pain - i simply couldnt edit this, not to mention needing to keep up with uni homework and starting a planner. Overall september left me suddenly a bit more busy than expected, but i still needed to finish this!! I knew i could and i needed to!!
That result in making my sleep schedule EVEN WORSE to get this out- ;w; But i managed to get it done by 1:30 AM on the 1st for me! Id say even with that extra hour, our finishing goal was pretty much completed ^^ NEXT CAME RENDERING.
AAAAA Fellas, folks, I had to render this video 3 times for it to succeed on the 3rd time - but each render time was anywhere from 17-22 HOURS LONG ;W; Yall, i wouldnt say i have a bad pc, its specs are good, BUT THIS VIDEO pushed my pc to its limit, and frankly, this might be my pcs magnum opus - maybe mine too - but definitely my pcs in terms of pushing through, and i hope i never have to render smth for this long again on this pc, not in the foreseeable future anyways. It was genuinely stressful rendering this at one point, and at the same time uploading the project file with all of the clips so my girlfriend can download and render just in case - having smth else on screen for too long made my browser reload, and doing Anything too intensive or using multiple programs at once would cause Vegas to combust and crash - 12 hours into rendering, no less!!! When this one was 18 hours into rendering, i had to treat it like a little baby in terms of protection dskjsa
Thankfully i have a laptop, which i was able to use for other things while my pc was struggling in the background. This render finished at 5:06 AM today, 22 hours and 50 minutes of render time here, folks!!
NEVERTHELESS! Im thankful I have been able to work on this project together with Enchi - she was a massive help with feedback and tips to make things look clean and max 2000s. I couldnt have done it without you, my love! x33 π and through our group effort and belief, this project is finally done!
And! Im proud of our result! We have worked hard for a long time, and i really hope you all enjoy watching!! c: While there were struggles making this, there absolutely was enjoyment too, and i hope this creative joy is able to show itself in the video as you watch ^^ To some folks ive told about this video before it was done and showed previews - thank you for your support in the creation process!

Bit of a late upload here, but heres a Valentines day video that i had made for my girlfriend, EnchantedNebula uwu
I had shown this to her on Valentines day, when i had finished it, originally! c:
My original idea for this started just from a random burst of love, i really wanted to make something for her, and i based my character/ship choices off a message that i had recently sent her then, which is that my fave fictional ship of 2022 is Wangxian, but my fave irl ship(?) is us uwu
I then tried to represent the two of us in these two ships - Wangxian, and Silvaze ^w^
There is a tiny story to this viddie, which i shall add below!
It took me some time to finish this up, about a month or so, but im glad i managed!
Its not totally creative, but thats alright here. I mostly wanted to focus on the clips and the emotions of them, and especially add some voice overs for extra emotion c:
Actually, speaking of the voice over, i used vocalremover org to remove the music from the original scenes to make the vocals more clear. Quite a neat website ^^
Aaand i mostly had fun working with the text, and the voices ^w^

Small story:
Silver and Wei had both been feeling and showing hints of interest towards their crushes, and then, gradually, over time, the more they spend time with them, they realize - they feel the same way about them too! Wei realizes that Lan has feelings for him as well, and Silver realizes that Blaze has feelings for him as well.

Recently its been feeling a bit hard to be super active, but Ive been slowly inching myself towards finishing more personal projects when i can, so I do hope to finally finish one or two more in due time, and share it with you all ^^ Thank you very much for your patience, i appreciate it! β€οΈ
Ive been noticing that thus far this year, ive kinda been living on making MEP parts and gifts, which is great too, but man, a few of my personal video projects, especially ones that im super passionate about, are taking some time to finish up ;w; gathering digital dust for a bit! But yes, im still feeling the drive for them, so i try to come back to them when im able! ^^

I was able to throw this one together pretty quickly! ^^
Well, regarding the effects, that is ^^ Ive had this project for a while, but I only added the model, motion, and camera, and that was all for a while, until today.
After discovering that I dont have to render raw avi files to get a good quality result, I decided to try putting some effects on this, and then I was able to get around to rendering it ^^
Thankfully its size was quite small, even in its uncoverted state, but I still converted it with HandBrake so I wont have to upload a file thats over a gb in size ^^
I had no need to use Vegas this time around, I figured ^^
Yesterday was a bit of a FFX-2 mood day for me, and it still is today XD
Im having lots of fun with the game x33 Its sort of like, I currently feel like that game is my comfort game, bc I feel like it makes me feel soft and adventurous :3
Ah and yes, Im finished with the first game, I finished it a couple months back, so now Ive leaped into the second game x3

Hi everyone, this one is going to be a more serious upload. This is a vent edit that Ive made featuring the thoughts and ideas of my dear girlfriend, EnchantedNebula, and it was something I created as an outlet for, mostly her but also a bit of myself in this, to let out everything thats been bogging our minds. In this description well share both of our own vents. Content warning: suicidal thoughts.
Starting off, I want to say that this video has characters that we use as our representations: Katie is Shadow, while Im Wei (and I added a bit of Leon Kennedy - to clarify - i dont relate to Leon as a character, but for the purposes of this vent I used voice lines of his that i relate to in my own way, and other short clips of him that are vague - simply because I felt inspired to use clips of him too, as a character that I like. Mostly focusing on Wei). Scenes with masks and multiple characters are something we both relate to in the lyrics.
Im very glad to be able to create this for my girlfriend. Without further ado, below will be the vents. (Full vents can be read in the pinned comment, as they are longer.)
TL;DR:
Katie: Ive been through a shit ton of trauma in my life. I am still going through a lot of trauma even now. This has led me to have near constant depressive/suicidal thoughts. Hardly anyone understands my story when I talk about it, and is usually quick to dismiss me overall.
Me: Last semester of uni, been struggling with procrastination, managing a part-time job (that I was eventually, sadly, let go of) and overall being very overwhelmed, largely just existing - getting to the end of the week, every week. Ive been very worried about Katie and doing all in my strength to help her and spend time with her. I hope that the next chapter of my life, whichever it may be, can be more gentle than some of the previous ones.
A bit about the video itself: Making this took a bit of trial and error, but thats expected. Katie and I both talked about how we would want this video to look, and formed our clip, effect ideas together. Had to change some clips around or replace some with other ones, and i think by the end, we managed to create something that, I think, not only is emotional and deep, but also serves pretty well as a standalone edit too - some scene combinations turned out quite well. Likewise it also took some time to blend the audio together to where it sounds natural - these sections of the song were quite distant from each other, so it was interesting to try to blend them. At one point we even thought about editing with the full song, but decided against it because of not relating to all of the lyrics in the full song, and gradually decreasing capacity to edit this for a long time (for me).
I wanted to play around with text sizes in this project, thats something I started doing to emphasize certain words over others in the same sentence, and thus I started to like how these different text sizes look together.
I have another edit I want to make public soon, once I work on the description and thumbnail some more!
Apologies for the lack of uploads and quiet during these couple months. I should have time very soon to get back to you all - thank you for your sweet comments π
