Pleeease watch in HD! ^^

Thiiis was a bit of a spontaneous edit idea!
One evening, I suddenly found this song and was hit with some editing ideas, and to me these ideas felt a little special bc I've never specifically tried smth like this before.
By this I mean, I've never tried to do an edit with some words and their definitions. I have seen others do this, tho.
Hmmmm, where to start?
I had nearly all of my clip ideas in my head from the start.
My main idea with this video was to take some clips of Noctis - whichever ones I like - and think of a word that describes that certain clip - then find a definition for the word and paste it in.
I had two words in my head from the start, and I could easily think of the part with ''indifferent'', but then I suddenly had a brain fart on the clip where I ended up adding ''indignant'' ^^''
Welp, after this, I believe I got to making the coloring, and uh, MBL crashed a couple times for me, when making this. I think I had trouble with exporting the coloring out of MBL? LIke, it crashed, and therefore crashed Vegas, when I clicked ''finish''. However, I fixed this after enough trial and error, and trying some different methods.
Then...I didn't come back to this project for a while. I knew what I wanted to do with it next, but I simply didn't have the time or the inspiration to continue it. After this I simply added BCC RGB lines on the start of the ''confidence'' clip and faded that out, and also a wave. Later I also added a zoom out on the first clip.
Welp, until tonight.
After editing another one of my projects, I was looking through my other Vegas projects and coming back to the one I felt most drawn to. One of which was this one. I had remembered that I added a marker for myself earlier, which said that this is ''Experiment with Ignite'' project. Ignite, being a plugin. That was what motivated me to continue it, I suppose, bc I really felt like I wanted to try new things, plus I felt in the editing mood.
I did experiment with that plugin a lot here, but also Universe a bit more.
I'm happy because I found several coolio effects!!!
I found two new ways how to achieve the ''displacement map'' or ''melting'' effect/transition on my own, and I'll def put them to use in the future now ^^
I also found this hella effect called ''Lens dirt''. Now atm I don't remember which plugin that one was in (Possibly Ignite?) which is the effect that you see on the second clip here, the ''indignant'' one - and what the effect is, is the little light blue smudge with the circles that you see there ^^ Really happy to find that one, it looks quite cinematic when applied to that clip, I feel!
I went on an editing spree from there.
I edited this for about uuuuuhhh 5 hours and 10 minutes today? OWO
From that point everything was smoothly flowing into one another - everything I was doing, all of the ideas I had, and this all felt like it was coming together perfectly ^^
This looks different from what I originally had in mind, but in a good way!!!
This has more stuff in it than I had originally envisioned, but I feel like that's a good thing!
Ah, what I wanna say that after editing for about 30 minutes today, this video had a whole new purpose for me to make it.
At first I simply wanted to do an edit with definitions, but after a while today, I realized that what I'm making is rather calming and smooth. I remembered about how I've seen some certain edits that have a really great and calming vibe to them, and ones that I sometimes like to loop as background noise for when I'm getting lost in thoughts. The kind of edits that calm you down when you watch them bc of how smoothly everything flows together - kinda like everything has its own place in the edit.
I'm getting sorta deep, but do any of y'all have edits like that, that you've seen, yourselves?
Anywho, from that point forward, I was aiming to make a calming video for both myself and others.
This is also the first time I tried looping my edit more than twice! I feel like if smth like this loops more, it's a little easier to get immersed into it and not have it interrupted or abruptly end ^^
I copied and pasted the edit after finishing it in two kinds of ways.
The first way was the old way I did it, which was with ctrl+a, and now, I guess the new way I'd like to do it is use the selection tool. Although, after doing the first method, the edit got out of sync by a millisecond. Well, I guess it isn't terribly noticeable.
Ah, and a little detail I would like to point out - I added a rainy window effect on the last clip before the loop ^^ That is another part of the Ignite plugin ^^
