Lyrin and her companions have managed to reach the top of the west tower, though only she remains unscathed. The rest have been burned with acid, nasty injuries that will require both time and magical healing to treat. Neither of those are a luxury we have, however, for there are skuldark skulking about the device that will hopefully make the cannons operational again.
There's more to this quest than simply bolstering the fortifications of Drugan's Battery, however. The ancient stronghold has contained within it the echoes of the toils of many souls, all in the service of Abydon. Were the Eyeless and as-yet unknown race that struck out seeking to drive the dwarves from their lands or was the fall of this place caused by the very deity they worshipped?
