The "Gonzalez" cocktail, created by Phil Ward, featured in the "Death and Co." book, is a very flavorful sipper featuring Punt e Mes, which reminds me of a cross between Sweet Vermouth and Campari. Reminiscent of a Martinez, It leverages the spicy, assertive flavors of Punt E Mes to deliver a nicely balanced and easy to drink sipper.

Ingredients include:

60 mil/2 oz Gin
22.5 mil/.75 oz Punt E Mes
7.5 mil/.25 oz Maraschino liqueur
2 dashes - Ango bitters

Stir all ingredients with ice for 20 seconds
Serve "up" in a chilled cocktail glass.
