I have the movement from a Dutch Zaanse clock that needed Cleaning for a friend. He cleaned it, with out taking it apart and failed. I found the clock was still dirty or maybe rusty, or could have been the cleaner he used. I took it all apart and cleaned it the right way and now it sparkles and ticks the way it should.

Here I do most of my work on clocks. Mainly cuckoo clocks, yet I am always looking for the unusual and eye catching clocks. Some of the clocks I get into are ones that need saved from the dump. They fell off the wall from not securing the clock to the wall using the stud behind the sheetrock. Some of the clocks were laid to rest out in the garage or barn and I except the challenge of getting them back together again.
A well loved clock at one time is one that has a lot of wear and you find old bushings that might need to be replaced.
