In this video I visit Cathedral Quarry in the Lake District to grab a classic Lake District image.
Cathedral Quarry is and old slate quarry now owned by the National Trust, located in between Ambleside and Coniston in the mouth of Little Langdale. It's a fascinating place with many paths and and caverns to explore, and it was just what I needed to reinvigorate my motivation which had taken a knock a day or so before.
The main cavern is the obvious choice when taking photographs here, but there are a few details which present more opportunities that shouldn't be missed, and so also I worked on capturing some intimate landscape images in and around the quarry.
I stopped here on my way back home after my visit to Ennerdale. I'd had a mixed bag of photography which you can see in this video if you haven't already.
