Landmark Homes, a trailblazer in the field of net-zero homes, has discovered the ideal community for their solar-powered, energy-efficient dwellings in Blatchford, the largest carbon-neutral community in North America.
Blatchford boasts a near-net-zero green building code, but these net-zero homes surpass those standards, and each home is equipped with sufficient solar power to cover all of its electricity and heating needs on a net-annual basis.
When Landmark pioneered net-zero homes in this market 16 years ago, the concept was somewhat ahead of its time, but now, the rest of the world is catching up, and consumers are increasingly valuing homes with minimal utility costs in a world that's constantly changing.
We had the pleasure of meeting up with Landmark's Micah Dueck and founder Reza Nasseri, along with a young couple who chose these net-zero homes because they were determined to achieve net-zero living from the very beginning.
