In this sleeping pad review I share my experience of sleeping on the LaidBackPad, almost exclusively, for the last 6 years.
This camping mattress might not be as comfortable as your bed, but it definitely ranks high for comfort if you compare it to other sleeping pads.
I like that the LaidBackPad can't be popped. I also like that you can slip off of it like some sleeping pads. I like that it has 3 layers of memory foam; The bottom layer is more dense and gives you a good barrier between rocks and the softer layers of the memory foam and you. The middle layer of foam is a not as dense as the bottom layer, and the top layer is very soft.
The Laid Back Pad is not the best sleeping pad for all purposes. One downside is that it weighs a little over 8 pounds, putting it on the heavy side for long distance camping hikes. It's also not ideal if you're looking for a pad that folds up to a very compact size.
I would say this memory foam sleeping pad is ideal for car camping; It's also great for tent camping when you're not hiking for very long distances.
When it comes to comfort the laid back pad camping mattress might be one of the most comfortable. I think it says a lot that it's been my exclusive bed at home for the last 6 years.
