Joker: Folie a Deux is slated for release later this year, but fans are already arguing over Lady Gaga's apparent lack of accent after seeing recent teasers that show her speaking as Harley Quinn from DC Comics.
Since making his screen debut in Batman The Animated Series in 1992, Harley Quinn has grown to be one of DC Comics' most well-known figures.
This has led to the emergence of a sizable fan group that is ostensibly very picky about Harley staying as authentic as possible to her roots, including her unique New York accent.

After Batman beats the Riddler, Catwoman tries to get him to leave Gotham with her and go upstate, Bludhaven maybe.
She tells him that together they can knock off some CEO hedge fund types. Batman says no, so Catwoman gets on her motorbike and drives off.
