Yeah I took on this boss before any of the non-plus postgame ones, because those are just that mean. This one is also pretty mean (I had to retry a few times), but compared to the main game shadow bosses and extra area bosses, it's a veritable cakewalk.
Shadow Kasen will buff herself every 5 turns for 50% all stats, and will otherwise just use her spell cards and generic single-target attacks. She's relatively weak to all forms debuffs so you can easily keep her buffs in check, and while she hits really hard, the only multi-target attack she has is Echo of the Nine Forest Gods, so just giving attackers some nature resist can help them survive the attack. She does have pretty high defenses but it's nothing too unmanageable at this level, either. The main danger is mostly stemming from her using a Echo right after buffing which is very hard to stop, and the fact that she just hits really hard.
