Plans to block a 135-home development near King Charles’ Highgrove residence have been rejected by councillors in England. Residents wanted to protect the fields near Tetbury by changing their use to outdoor recreation, arguing the development could harm the area’s wildlife, countryside and the King’s privacy and security. More than 150 residents attended a council meeting, but the application was rejected by Cotswold District Council in a five-to-two vote.
