Britain's prolonged heatwave has left historic village ponds across England dried up, killing wildlife and prompting fears some may never recover. From the 300-year-old Crammer in Devizes to ponds in Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Surrey, communities are rescuing wildlife and providing water for ducks. The Environment Agency says it is carrying out numerous fish rescues as dry conditions continue.
