Kevin Costner had five special dates, ranging in age from 13 to 40, with him as he walked the Cannes Film Festival red carpet for his new western "Horizon: An American Saga" last weekend.
"I desired that them witness my labor. This week, Costner, 69, revealed to Jimmy Kimmel that he was taking Grace, 13, Hayes, 15, Cayden, 17, Lily, 37, and Annie, 40, on a work trip to the French Riviera. "I got them tuxedos, bought them dresses," Costner said.
Joe, 36, and Liam, 26—the other two offspring of the "Yellowstone" star—did not accompany him.
With his first wife Cindy Silva, Costner has Lily, Annie, and Joe; with his second wife Christine Baumgartner, with whom he formalized his divorce in February, Liam has Hayes and Cayden; and with Liam's former girlfriend, Bridget Rooney.
The 69-year-old joked with Kimmel that he had thought his sons "would stick with me and support me" during the international journey, but "my two sons went fishing, got a boat, went fishing the minute they got there." After I got on a boat, my daughters claimed they would see me around three or four o'clock, when I would be working and would make a call. By this time, they had started to have drinks. At around eight o'clock at night, they pulled in."
