I’m still on a biasing kick. Here’s my Kenwood Nine G. 80WPC/late 1970s. All original and it’s actually been a great performer, but only used occasionally. 
According to the manual, the bias current should be 26.5ma.
The baseline bias was around 36ma for both channels prior to adjustment. It’s my understanding then this was running running hot. Perhaps putting out more wattage. Normally I always see these values lower.
I readjusted and it sounds great and it’s giving everything it has.
But I can’t discern is if it’s better or the same as before.The fact that it’s running at spec makes me feel more comfortable.
