Since one of Kathy's biggest hits of the '50's was "Goodbye, Jimmy, Goodbye", it was decided, in hunting for another hit, that she should perhaps record more songs with "Jimmy" in the title. Or was it a coincidence? This was the second (after the 1959 hit), and she would go on to record "Remember Me (to Jimmy)" and finally "Jimmy". "Take Me Home, Jimmy" charted locally in the Top 40 in San Antonio, Texas in March 1961, but did not chart nationally in Billboard. The other side of this single "So in Love (with You)" is my favorite Kathy Linden recording, and I've posted it on one of my other channels under the name "Tom Smith". Here is a link:
