"Oh Johnny, Oh!" had been a #2 hit for Orrin Tucker (featuring Wee Bonnie Baker) in November 1939. Even earlier, it had been a #1 hit for Billy Murray and the American Quartet in June 1917. Also recorded by the Andrews Sisters, Crazy Otto and Janie Grant. Originally featured by Henry Lewis in "Follow Me" which also starred Anna Held.
