Charted at #24 on Billboard Hot 100 in March 1972, and #2 on Billboard Adult Contemporary chart. After a few failed singles of contemporary songs which did not make the charts, Vinton returned to his pattern of recent past success in remaking older hits. In so doing, and in picking a great piece of material, he made a comeback to the top 40 Hot 100 chart, and almost topped the easy listening chart, with his remake of "Ev'ry Day Of My Life". This song had been a 1955 hit for the McGuire Sisters, and also a UK charter for Malcolm Vaughan. As much as I love the original versions, I love Bobby's version with chorus even more, and this is one of my favorite Vinton recordings and songs. The fact that this beautiful record charted in the top 40 proved that great music could still chart fairly well even in 1972. In my unique opinion, I believe this was, by far, one of the greatest records of the year.
