๐๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ป ๐๐ถ๐ฟ ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ๐ ๐๐น๐ถ๐ด๐ต๐ ๐ฏ๐ฑ๐ฌ was a scheduled domestic passenger flight from Fukuoka to Tokyo. The flight was being operated by a McDonnell Douglas DC-8 (Reg. JA8061) on ๐๐ฒ๐ฏ๐ฟ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ ๐ต, ๐ญ๐ต๐ด๐ฎ.
The plane departed from Fukuoka's runway 16 at 07:34. The plane climbed to the cruising altitude of FL290. At 08:22 the crew started their descend to FL160. After reaching that altitude, they were cleared to descend down to 3,000 feet. The plane was cleared for a runway 33R ILS approach and 5ยฐ of flaps were selected at 08:35, followed by 25 degrees of flaps one minute later. The landing gear was lowered at 08:39 and 50ยฐ of flaps were selected 2 minutes after that. At 08:42 the plane descended through 1,000 feet at an airspeed of 135 knots with wind from a direction of 360ยฐ at 20 knots. The co-pilot called out "500 feet" at 08:43:25 but the captain did not make the "stabilized" call-out as specified by JAL operational regulations.
The airspeed decreased to 133 knots as the plane descended through 300 feet at 08:43:50 and the co-pilot warned the captain that the plane was approaching the decision height. At 08:43:56 the radio altimeter warning sounded, followed by the flight engineer calling out "200 feet", which was the decision height, 3 seconds later. At 08:44:01 the plane descended through 164 feet at 130 KIAS. At that moment the captain cancelled autopilot, pushed his controls forward and retarded the throttles to idle. The co-pilot tried to regain control but the plane crashed into the shallow water of Tokyo Bay, 510 meters short of the runway 33R threshold.

On ๐๐ฒ๐ฏ๐ฟ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฒ, ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฐ, a Beechcraft Super King Air (Reg. Z3-BAB) departed Skopje on an official flight to Mostar, carrying 2 pilots and 7 passengers, among them Boris Trajkovski, President of the Republic of Macedonia. Trajkovski was flying to Mostar with members of his government to take part to an economic conference.
The plane departed Skopje at 06:48. At 07:46, ACC Zagreb transferred the plane to APP Mostar. At 07:51, the flight crew reported overhead IAF DIRUK. After IAF DIRUK, the flight crew performed a left turn for 180ยฐ and established heading 146ยฐ, at 4,700 feet. During last 60ยฐ of the turn the flight crew noticed that indications of DME and VOR were lost. The flight crew reported to APP Mostar that they do not have indication of VOR. After 18 seconds co-pilot confirmed to the captain that indicator VOR/DME has been established again and that everything is under control what was conveyed to APP Mostar by the captain.
At distance of 13 NM to VOR/DME MSR, after the approved by the captain, co-pilot disengaged autopilot and had taken the control of the plane. After passing 7 NM to VOR/DME MSR the plane continued with descending on assigned radial 326. And 31 seconds later the plane reached the altitude of 1,810 feet (MDA). The co-pilot then asked for permission from the captain to continue with descent, on which captain did not reply but ordered to co-pilot to increase the power. After that the plane impacted the tree and right after the ground as well.
