ELEMENTARY SCHOOL JANITOR MADE AI CSAM OF STUDENTS? Zackary Nelson, a janitor at Daisy Elementary School in Hamilton County, Tennessee, has been charged after investigators allege he digitally altered a photograph of two students and a school staff member to create AI-generated CSAM.
According to investigators, the investigation began after a tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).
Authorities say Nelson used AI digital editing tools to manipulate the images.
Investigators also say they uncovered more than 3,000 explicit images of children, which deputies say Nelson altered through online accounts.
The affidavit says investigators matched some of the people in the alerted images to the school's Facebook.
Scott Falk, senior advisor for Child Impact International says it’s important that parents and schools stay aware of image-altering technology, especially when it involves children. It only takes one photo.

Nelson is facing charges of sexual exploitation of a minor and the investigation is ongoing.
