A Day of Small Things | Jane Austen July Wrap Up & Planning August TBR 2022 @adayofsmallthings | Uploaded August 2022 | Updated October 2024, 3 hours ago.
I'm going to share with you some thoughts on two pairs of #janeaustenjuly books:
- Jane Austen's Selected Letters and Jane Austen at Home, the biography by Lucy Worsley
- Pride & Prejudice and What Matters in Jane Austen by John Mullen
I also read an essay by Samuel Johnson about the type of fiction Austen wrote.
I have finished A Suitable Boy, but will talk about it in a separate video.
My theme for August is 'Travel Around the World in Books'. I have a pile of stories that are set outside England and I can't read them all! Will you help me choose?
