A Day of Small Things | Alice in Wonderland illustrated by Mervyn Peake // A secondhand bookshop in Carlisle #shorts @adayofsmallthings | Uploaded January 2023 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
We visited this wonderful bookshop in Carlisle called Bookcase and Bookends during the Christmas New Year holiday and bought quite a few secondhand books. A book haul video is coming this Thursday.

But first of all, look at this magnificent bookshop. A small portion on the ground floor sells new books, the rest of the four floors in the entire two houses, every room, every inch of the space is stuffed full of secondhand books. I had such a satisfying time!

I came across this special edition of Alice in Wonderland, illustrated by Mervyn Peake! Who is more well-known as the author of the Gormenghast series. I love his illustration style!
