One fantasy Stardust by Neil Gaiman, two modern classics The Constant Nymph by Margaret Kennedy and The Great Gatsby by Fitzgerald, and one non-fiction The Genius of Shakespeare by Jonathan Bate and one contemporary novel The Trouble with Goats and Sheep.
