At the 2026 edition of the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique, motorsport legend Jacky Ickx drove the Ferrari 312 F1 (number 26, distinguished by the yellow band on the nose) he raced in the 1968 season. His only victory with this model came at the French Grand Prix in Rouen, a race held in pouring rain that earned him the nickname "the rain wizard." The Belgian driver, now eighty and in excellent form, was the guest of honour at this edition and on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th April, he completed a few laps of the Monte Carlo circuit, opening the "Ferrari Parade" dedicated to the Prancing Horse's single-seaters. After the 1968 season, Jacky Ickx returned to Ferrari in 1970, following a stint at Brabham in 1969. It was his best year: he finished the world championship in second place behind Jochen Rindt, winning three races (Austria, Canada, and Mexico) with the next version, the 312 B. The Ferrari 312 F1-68 was the first Formula 1 car to feature a rear wing. Engineer Mauro Forghieri introduced this innovation at the 1968 Belgian GP to increase downforce and improve cornering grip. The wing was equipped with a cockpit-mounted hydraulic control that allowed the driver to manually vary its incidence: more downforce in the corners, less drag on the straights to gain speed. The engine was a 3.0-litre 60° V12 (hence the name 3-12), capable of delivering approximately 410-415 hp at over 10,000 rpm. All'edizione 2026 del Grand Prix de Monaco Historique, la leggenda del motorsport Jacky Ickx ha guidato la Ferrari 312 F1 (numero 26, contraddistinta dalla banda gialla sul muso) con cui corse nella stagione 1968. La sua unica vittoria con questo modello avvenne al Gran Premio di Francia a Rouen, corsa disputata sotto una pioggia battente che gli valse il soprannome di "mago della pioggia". Il pilota belga, ottantenne ed in splendida forma, è stato l'ospite d'onore di questa edizione e nelle giornate di Sabato 25 e Domenica 26 Aprile ha compiuto alcuni giri sul tracciato di Monte Carlo aprendo la "Ferrari Parade" dedicata alle monoposto del cavallino rampante. Dopo la stagione 1968, Jacky Ickx tornò in Ferrari nel 1970, dopo una parentesi in Brabham nel 1969. Fu quello il suo anno migliore: chiuse il mondiale al secondo posto dietro Jochen Rindt, vincendo tre gare (Austria, Canada e Messico) con la versione successiva, la 312 B. La Ferrari 312 F1-68 è stata la prima vettura di Formula 1 a montare un alettone posteriore. L'ingegner Mauro Forghieri introdusse questa innovazione al GP del Belgio del 1968 per aumentare la deportanza e migliorare l'aderenza in curva. L'ala era dotata di un comando idraulico nell'abitacolo che permetteva al pilota di variarne l'incidenza manualmente: più carica nelle curve, meno resistenza nei rettilinei per guadagnare velocità. Il motore è un V12 a 60° da 3 litri (da cui il nome 3-12), capace di erogare circa 410-415 CV a oltre 10.000 giri al minuto.
