Nikola Tsolov, the young Bulgarian driver, current leader of the Formula 2 championship and spearhead of the Red Bull Junior Team, made his debut behind the wheel of a Formula 1 single-seater. The Imola circuit was chosen for the occasion, where Tsolov took the wheel of the 2025 Racing Bulls VCARB 02 for a day of TPC testing, completing 143 laps. Thanks to this intense day, the Bulgarian driver covered over 300 kilometers, which is necessary to qualify for Free Practice 1 (FP1) on official Formula 1 weekends. Tsolov, currently competing in F2 with Campos Racing and leading the drivers' standings at the end of the summer break following the last round in Budapest, has achieved six overall victories so far in 2026, including a historic one-two (Sprint and Feature Race) at Silverstone. The car used, the VCARB 02, is powered by the Honda RBPTH003 hybrid engine. This single-seater marks the Faenza team's last chapter with Honda-RBPT engines before the switch to Red Bull-Ford engines due to new technical regulations. Enjoy! 😉
Nikola Tsolov, giovane pilota bulgaro, attuale leader del campionato di Formula 2 e punta di diamante del Red Bull Junior Team, ha fatto il suo debutto assoluto al volante di una monoposto di Formula 1. Per l'occasione è stata scelta la pista di Imola, dove Tsolov ha preso il volante della Racing Bulls VCARB 02 del 2025 per una giornata di test TPC, completando 143 giri. Grazie a questa intensa giornata, il pilota bulgaro ha percorso oltre 300 chilometri, necessari per ottenere l'eleggibilità a disputare le Prove Libere 1 (FP1) nei weekend ufficiali di Formula 1. Tsolov, attualmente in F2 con il team Campos Racing ed in cima alla classifica piloti al termine della pausa estiva dopo l'ultimo appuntamento disputato a Budapest, ha finora conquistato 6 vittorie complessive nel 2026, tra cui spicca la storica doppietta (Sprint e Feature Race) ottenuta sul circuito di Silverstone. La monoposto impiegata, la VCARB 02 , è spinta dal motore ibrido Honda RBPTH003. Questa monoposto segna l'ultimo capitolo della scuderia di Faenza con i propulsori marchiati Honda-RBPT, prima del passaggio ai motori Red Bull-Ford per i nuovi regolamenti tecnici. Buona visione! 😉
