The fifth round of the Italian Tractor Pulling Championship by ATPI took place on July 25th in Legnago and was marred by worn clutches, blown hoses, turbo explosions, and even a broken throttle. Let's just say that many teams will have a lot of work to do to get their vehicles back in shape for the next round of the championship. A quick look at the overall standings gives us a couple of certainties. Little MonsteRS4 in the 600 kg Modified category and E' Mostar in the Truck category are both sitting on top with five first-place finishes. An impressive result. Speaking of Trucks, the Black Monster of the Nuova Recat seems to be plagued by bad luck. Let's hope those sparks from under the engine aren't a sign of damage. The other classes are still hotly contested and up in the air for the top spot. In the Small Pulling category, Sacramento and Turtle Racing took home two excellent results, separated by just a few points. Andrea Trentin's General Lee Baby is improving. Speedy Gonzales 2 performed convincingly and successfully in the Prosport36 class, and Matteo Bolcato's La Lei, in second place, finally seems to have found its feet. Dynamite 3.0 and The Legend put on spectacular races over 100 meters in the Prosport 42 class, which never disappoints in terms of spectacle. This time, it was Nicola Stocchi, with The Legend, who planted the far flag. The Mazza family's Coyote once again climbs to the top of the Light Modified class, demonstrating excellent consistency, but it must be said that the Joker, with its stellar engine, is always ready to make a splash. Finally, a look at the Prostock class reveals a setback for Stars & Stripes, which has so far left no room for rivals. Despite a turbo failure, it remains firmly in the lead of the overall standings. The return of Fabio Ronga's Fordino 5000 has a bittersweet taste. He finally returned and did so by finishing on the podium, but he suffered mechanical failures in the race. I predict long nights in the workshop for them too. Finally, a mention for the Dutch team, with Wickie Power driven by Aadri van der Veeken, who impressed us with two spectacular performances in both qualifying and the race. Enjoy! 😉
